Since bullying has been a big issue across the U.S - and world - I want to dedicate
a whole photography series to it. It will include quotes and images relating to
bullying. I feel like this is something that needs to be focused on more. I know there's things
about bullying everywhere and people are sick of seeing it, but it's important and if
it's still being highlighted majorly and everywhere there's a message people seem to be
missing if they roll their eyes and can't believe that this is still going on.
I have never been bullied or bullied and I don't want to experience it either way.
I am doing this in memory and tribute to those who have been in either position (mostly to the receiver of the bullying).
I also am going to do a series representing identity, since in today's society it seems
to be corrupted and misunderstood. In this world, identity is believed to be the person's
social status - how well off they are, grades (if you're in school), what type of job they have, clothing choice, etc.
There are multiple definitions for Identity and names associated with it. [taken from Dictionary.com]
Identity
noun
2. The condition of being oneself or itself, and not another: *He did not doubt his own identity; who he was.
Personality
noun
2. A person as an embodiment of a collection of qualities: He is a curious personality.
3. Psychology:
a. The sum total of the physical, mental, emotional, and social characteristics of an individual.
b. The organized pattern of behavioral characteristics of the individual.
4. The quality of being a person; existence as a self-conscious human being; personal identity.
5. The essential character of a person.
Individuality
noun
1. The particular character, or aggregate of qualities, that distinguishes one person or thing from others; sole and personal nature: a person of marked individuality.
Character
noun
1. The aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of some person or thing.
4. Qualities of honesty, courage, or the like; integrity: It takes character to face up to a bully.
...And many more...
As you see, identity means to be you. Not someone else, don't fake who you really are. You are you and no one can change you,
you're perfect the way you are. Identity ties in with bullying - when people are bullied it alters their identity because when people get
bullied it tears them into pieces. Recovering and forgiveness is difficult, but its possible. I will demonstrate this through, like with the series for bullying, images of quotes and plain images that represent identity.
I will be putting up literary pieces that tie in with identity and bullying.
The literary part will mostly be in a journal-like format.
I hope that with doing these series it will bring:
a) More attention to these serious topics
b) Help people realize and take more act to stop it from happening as best as they can
c) Encourage and revitalize people who've been torn down
or are conscious of who they are to be more themselves, and not someone they aren't.
I would appreciated quotes or ideas, I have a plan, but suggestions, ideas, and support is also nice!

About My Stock: The Bay Colt with a Star
I'm thinking about starting a journal series on the horses I use in my stock. Most of the recent horses I've posted are very involved in my life, so I know quite a bit about them, including this first horse: The red-bay colt with the star you often see To me, his name is Ion. He is a Percheron/Thoroughbred cross, specifically 75% Thoroughbred and 25% Percheron. He was 6 months old/a weanling (just weaned from his mom) who was feral from a Canadian PMU farm. I was a freshman in college. I worked with him as his sole trainer for the three years he was with me. We went to National Mounted Police Colloquiums, showed off our skills to many police departments, but the police department that chose him was Richmond, Virginia. To my surprise, I also got the special privilege of badging my baby boy, now man, who has a job protecting his city and the citizens in it, but most of all his loving officer. His new name is Aslan - renamed for his big heart, willingness, and bravery. So, if you see him
New Stock Images!
You all should expect to see some new stock up by the end of tonight (EST), if not tomorrow.
I finally got around to choosing pictures I wanted to use as stock from a recent photo-shoot with horses (surprise). It was an arid day, so there's a bit of dust. All are usable for reference images; most of them are usable for manipulations; some are usable for close-up/high-detailed manipulations.
Be sure to check the Black Horse Stock, Chestnut Stock, Bay Stock, and the Herd Stock galleries! I've already uploaded a few to the Chestnut Stock folder, so check them out!
Also: I would love to hear back from you all about what photos you want, as I h

Since being at a school where I am out everyday at the barn, working a horse who is my responsibility for a club, I have a lot of opportunities to get pictures. There are a variety of horses that I can reserve and get shots of.
This brings up the question in my mind if anyone has requests for different pictures of horses to use for stock images. This is a completely free event. Just fill out the form below and comment it on this journal and I'll do my best to fulfill it. Please keep in mind the form is a preference over direct photography commission

this should be in the journal portal. not the other stuff. This is... I don't know... I have no words to describe this. I agree with you, completely on this subject
